As of this week, we have known Simeon’s face for over half has life. 372 days ago, we got a picture of our son. It was this one, taken just a couple of days before his 1st birthday:

Part of me wants to make some dramatic statement about what a blessing he’s been to our lives. Another part of me wants to come up with some profound reflection about adoption. The first seems too shallow. The second seems trying too hard to be deep. I’d rather simply let Simeon learn and tell his own story. Thus the pictures.
I remember being in a ritzy room in a ritzy hotel when I answered the phone and heard you had a referral. I’m excited to see how his story from these first years shapes all the years to come!
